June 2017: Mac Brown

Foreman Mac Brown has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2013.

In his leadership role, Brown specializes in managing HVAC installations. He enjoys the people he works with and takes pride in each job he completes.

“No matter what you do in life, it’s important to give it your best effort and take pride in your work,” Mac said. “The task of improving our customers’ quality of life through home comfort is an important and rewarding career.”

Personally, Mac and his wife have four children and are expecting a fifth addition to their family this June. In his spare time, Mac enjoys watching his kids at their activities, including baseball and hockey, fishing and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks.

May 2017: Tyler Prall

Job Supervisor Tyler Prall has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since November 2012.

In his role, Prall is a natural problem-solver. He uses his skillset and industry expertise to troubleshoot HVAC system and equipment issues and looks for the most efficient and effective way to resolve the concern. He is detail-oriented and organized.

“I enjoy working for a family-owned company that trusts me to work independently and to represent the organization,” Prall said. “I learn something new every day. That is rewarding and keeps me engaged in the work that I do.”

Personally, Tyler is married to Cheyanne Eckert. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Serenity Sue Prall, on June 16, 2016. In his spare time, Prall enjoys hunting, shooting guns, canoeing, camping and watching movies.

March 2017: Zethan Wyckoff

New Construction Installer Zethan Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since May 2012. He specializes in hanging ductwork.

The son of second generation owner Tobie Wyckoff and grandson of founder Don Wyckoff, Zethan enjoys working for the family-owned and operated business and shares a passion for serving others.

“Having the opportunity to work with my family is a blessing,” Zethan said. “I, just like all of my colleagues, have a vested interest in the success of the business. That translates to high levels of customer service, team comradery and a profitable organization.”

Personally, Zethan has three sisters. In his spare time, he enjoys supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes, collecting sports memorabilia, and hunting with his dad.

February 2017: David Earleywine

HVAC Installer David Earleywine has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since November 2012.

Results-oriented, Earleywine excels at solving HVAC system issues, while making teamwork a priority and positively impacting employee and customer interaction. This stems not only from his commitment to Wyckoff, but also his dedication to serving the home comfort needs of central Iowans.

“At Wyckoff, we are supplying an invaluable service and quality product to our customers,” David said. “The company is very family-oriented. That means we trust one another to get the job done. You have the opportunity to be self-reliant, which is a rewarding aspect of the work we do.”

Personally, David has a 13-year-old daughter, Trinity, and a 3-year-old stepdaughter, Marley, with his long-term girlfriend. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, shooting pool, bicycling, going to the movies and competitive sports.

January 2017: John Wilson

New Construction Installer John Wilson has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since October 2012.

Versatile and thorough, Wilson prides himself on taking HVAC installation from the initial phase to completion.

“No matter the task at hand, its important to give each step your best,” Wilson said. “We don’t settle for less than a 100 percent complete, quality installation.”

In addition to his passion for work, John enjoys the sense of family and friends at Wyckoff Heating & Cooling.

“The friendships I have with my colleagues and employers makes each day at work enjoyable,” Wilson said. “When you work alongside those you care about and respect, you go the extra mile to ensure you’re exceeding expectations.”

Personally, Wilson and wife, Amanda, have two children, Aurora and Ava. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with family and outdoor activities, including hunting, camping, as well as tractor rides and pulling when the weather permits.

December 2016: Co-ower Job Cooperjob_es

Third generation owner Job Cooper has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since March 1987

Growing up in the family business, Job has spent the past 29 years perfecting his craft. Today, he specializes in a variety of HVAC services, including indoor air quality, residential new construction, geothermal, hydronics, zoning, load calculations, digital duct layout and service troubleshooting.

He credits the continued success of the business – more than 65 years – to Wyckoff’s loyal customer base. “Customer are the backbone of our company,” Job said. “Helping others is the reason my family began this business. Without our customer base, we have no operation. That’s why customer service and satisfaction are our top priorities.”

Keeping customers happy is a Wyckoff tradition, built on reliable service and a dedicated team. Job enjoys his interactions with others throughout all stages of the business.

“It’s about the people,” Job said. “From the people I work with every day, to the customers we serve, the contractors we develop relationships with and the suppliers we rely on, the people are what makes our industry, and my job, rewarding.”

Personally, Job and his wife, Kris, have twin sons, Zach and Brady. Zach is employed at Rockwell Collins, and Brady serves Wyckoff as a construction assistant. Daughter, Kenzy, is a student at the University of Iowa. In his spare time, Job enjoys spending time with family, flying and outdoor activities, including golf, travel, yard work, biking, boating, camping and running. He is an avid Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan.

HVAC Journeyman, HVAC Installer Josh May has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since December 2009.

Over the past seven years, May has worked alongside his colleagues and served hundreds of customers across central Iowa. He appreciates the family atmosphere at Wyckoff, and places significant value on the organization’s camaraderie and upstanding morals.

“Every employee from the top down treats one another like family, which stems from Wyckoff’s Christian-based values,” Josh said. “It makes Wyckoff not only a great company to work for, but also an organization you can trust with your home comfort.”

Josh has a daughter, Kimber, who will turn one this year. He and his wife just welcomed the arrival of a baby boy October 2016. In his spare time, Josh enjoys hunting year-round. During deer season, he hunts in a variety of ways, including bow, shotgun and black powder. In the off season, May tracks deer through trail cameras, and enjoys seeing the same deer year after year.

October 2016: New Construction Installer Tyler (TY) Fransen 

New Construction Installer Tyler (Ty) Fransen has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since September 2011.

His expertise in new construction HVAC installation includes setting furnaces and hanging ductwork, both key components in the long-term effectiveness of home comfort. Ty takes pride in his work and enjoys seeing his efforts come to fruition.

“New construction is an exciting area of the business,” Fransen said. “I enjoy the physical component of the job and working outdoors. At the end of the day, I know the result is worth the time put in. We make a difference in each home and contribute to each family’s comfort.”

Ty also appreciates the high standards of work and teamwork Wyckoff upholds.

“We are treated like family,” he said. “You won’t find a family that works harder or is more dedicated that the Wyckoffs. That culture runs through all services lines, employees and customer interactions.”

Personally, Ty has a 17-month-old son. In his spare time, he takes in the outdoors by fishing, hunting and golfing. Ty is an avid Hawkeye fan.

Reggie_ES CropSeptember 2016: HVAC Commercial Installer Reggie Goddard 

HVAC Commercial Installer Reggie Goddard has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since April 2002.

With more than 14 years of experience with the company, Goddard specializes in geothermal, tapping energy from the Earth, and mini-split systems, which provide a smart, flexible solution for individual space heating or cooling.

He enjoys the work environment and comradery of his colleagues at the company.

“The culture and environment we experience in our daily work is a direct result of family ownership,” Reggie said. “It’s one of the many reasons I, and many others, continue to choose Wyckoff as our employer of choice year after year.”

Reggie and his fiancé of 21 years have five children, ranging in age from 22 to 30, and eight grandchildren. In in spare time, Goddard enjoys motocross, riding dirt bikes and playing the guitar.

David E Employee SpotightAugust 2016: Commercial Installer Dave Ellwanger 

Commercial Installer Dave Ellwanger has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since October 17, 1994.

With more than 20 years of experience with the organization, Ellwanger has vast knowledge of the industry and an extensive skillset. He is SAVE (system adjustment and verified efficiency) certified, which means he has demonstrated his ability and commitment to ensuring HVAC equipment is operating at desired efficiency.

Dave’s favorite part of working at Wyckoff is the ability to create a finished product.

“The daily work we do is important,” Ellwanger said. “Our team works diligently to ensure the families of central Iowa experience home comfort year round. We play a role in their home health and happiness, and seeing that come together through an installation is rewarding.”

Personally, Dave has a 13-year-old son. In his spare time, Ellwanger enjoys going to sporting events and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

July 2016: Furnace Installer Charlie Sloan

New Construction Furnace Installer Charlie Sloan has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since June 1998.
With more than 18 years of experience with the company, Sloan is a valued member of the Wyckoff team. Charlie demonstrates outstanding knowledge and competency in the installation and verification testing of HVAC equipment as one of the organization’s SAVE (system adjustment and verified efficiency) certified technicians.

His dedication to Wyckoff stems from the friendships he has made over the years. “My favorite part of the job is interacting with the people I work with,” Sloan said. “It’s a family-run business, and we treat one another like family every day.”

Charlie also enjoys Wyckoff’s close proximity to home, and the flexibility each day brings. “Wyckoff knows the most important part of our job is taking care of the customer first,” he said. “Most mornings I go directly to the jobsite to get the job done, and ensure our customers have the heating or air conditioning they need to get through extreme Iowa temperatures.”

In his spare time, Charlies enjoys fishing and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Richard BennettJune 2016: Field Foreman Richard Bennett
Field Foreman Richard Bennett has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since October 2002

With nearly 15 years of experience with the organization, Bennett specializes in custom homes. Over the years, he has continued to expand his education and licensures, earning his SAVE (system adjustment and verified efficiency) certification, EPA certification and Master Journeyman license.

His goal for every installation is to work collaboratively to provide the best possible outcome and outstanding indoor air quality.

“At Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, we work together just like family to help each other solve problems and get our work done,” Bennett said. “We work closely with builders and homeowners to provide quality workmanship for their homes. It’s a rewarding job that benefits the families we serve for many years.”

Personally, Richard and wife, Erica, have been married for 11 years. The couple has a seven year-old son, Turner, and recently adopted a puppy named Co-co. In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching his son’s little league team and spending time at the dirt track go-kart racing.

WalterMay 2016: Delivery / Warehouse Assistant Walter Aunspach

Delivery / Warehouse Assistant Walter Aunspach has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2001.With more than 15 years of experience with the company, Aunspach specializes in ductwork layout and HVAC system installation. He takes his commitment to customer service seriously and has invested in continued education to provide top-of-the-line service and products to Wyckoff customers. Walter is Gastite and Wardflex certified, which allows him to install flexible gas piping systems and corrugated stainless steel tubing, both quality and effective residential gas delivery systems.

Aunspach’s longevity with the organization may be attributed to his passion for the work that he does and his appreciation of the family atmosphere.

“The work environment at Wyckoff is unparalleled,” Walter said. “There is mutual loyalty from the top down, and great friendships that span generations and positions. It’s a place I’m proud to work.”

Personally, Walter and his wife, Kim, enjoy spending time together. He has an appreciation for the outdoors, as his favorite pastimes include, fishing, golf, jet skiing, boating and relaxing at the Lake of the Ozarks.

President and Co-owner Andy Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since May 1985. Today, he is a third generation owner and grandson to company founder Don Wyckoff Senior

With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Andy specializes in large project design builds. He values the importance of continued education and diversified experience. Wyckoff has earned his Master Medical License 401 and served as Des Moines Heating & Cooling President in 2008.

Over the years, Andy has enjoyed watching the company grow, but his favorite aspect is the atmosphere.

“We treat all of our employees like family,” he said. “The Wyckoff family places a priority on family values, great benefits and faith.”

That dedication to taking care of one another results in longevity within the organization. “With each employee we bring to the team, we hire with the intention and belief that he or she will retire with us,” Andy said. “We believe in finding the right fit and taking care of our employees throughout their career.”

Personally, Andy has three children along with three grandsons, one daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. In his spare time, he enjoys working, reading and enjoying the outdoors through golf, hunting and fishing. Andy is an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Cubs and Cardinals fan.

Margret P cropMarch 2016: HVAC Save Test Assistant Margret Purdy

HVAC Save Test Assistant Margaret Purdy has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since December 2014.

One of Purdy’s key responsibilities includes inputting information into Wyckoff’s HVAC software systems to test furnaces and air conditioners. This essential component of the business ensures clients receive energy rebates in a timely manner. She also lends a helping hand to others in the office as needed.

Margaret takes pride in working for the organization, a company she shares, treats everyone like family.

“My favorite aspect of employment at Wyckoff is the family atmosphere. That includes Christian values, friendship and plenty of laughter,” said Purdy. “The owners take pride in the company which inspires each of us to reciprocate that feeling, and work harder to serve our customers.”

Personally, Margaret and her late husband have four children. Purdy has 12 grandchildren ranging in age from 10 months to 14 years. In her spare time, Margaret enjoys gardening, decorating her home and spending time with family.

January 2016Brady Cooper: Construction Assistant Brady Cooper

Construction Assistant Brady Cooper has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, working every summer since age 14. He became a full-time employee after graduating in August 2015.

Cooper specializes in software applications, various accounting skills and customer service. His favorite aspect of working at Wyckoff is the ability to work with family every day.

“Carrying on the family tradition and meeting the home comfort needs of our customers in Central Iowa is important to me as the fourth generation to join the business,” said Brady. “I’m proud of the work my family does, and I’m excited to add value to this important service.”

Brady is the son of company owner, Job, and Kris Cooper. He has a twin brother, Zach, and sister, Mackenzie. The most recent addition to his family is a mini Golden doodle puppy, Zola. In his spare time, Brady enjoys outdoor activities and hunting and is an avid Hawkeye and Cubs fan.

Chris SLDecember 2015: Commercial Installations Supervisor – Chris Theis
Commercial Installations Supervisor Chris Theis has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 1992.

With more than 20 years of experience with the company, Theis has invaluable expertise that he brings to each project. Chris specializes in commercial installation, which includes large industrial projects, kitchen systems and specialty commercial projects.“Wyckoff is like a large, extended family,” says Theis. “It’s the environment that makes my job enjoyable. We have many industry veterans that are able to share their wealth of knowledge with others. If I don’t know the answer, I can find someone within the organization that does. It’s comforting to have teammates you can count on.”

Chris shares the company environment and experienced skillset is also of value to Wyckoff customers. “Each team member is committed to taking care of the customer and doing the job right,” adds Theis. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Marsha; traveling; and outdoor activities, including fishing, camping, hunting and eating morel mushrooms.

SAVE Technician, New Construction and Retrofit Installer Rush Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2004. He began as a part-time employee, and transferred to full-time in 2010 Continuing the family tradition, Rush’s employment marks the fourth generation of the Wyckoff family to join the organization. His great grandfather, Don Wyckoff, founded the company over 65 years ago. “I most enjoy the environment, where everyone is treated like family – regardless of whether it’s your true family or those I have come to know as family,” says Rush. “Wyckoff is the type of organization that says a prayer before beginning company meetings and where each employee will go out of their way to help one another.” Over the years, Rush has increased his skillset to include SAVE testing, HVAC SAVE certification, EPA 608 I and II certification, Year 4 Apprenticeship and nearly any form of HVAC installation. Even with his vast array of talents, the most essential aspect of the business to him is customer service. “The most important thing about working at Wyckoff is being able to put the needs of other’s above your own,” he adds. “Even though we’ve become a much larger company, the founder’s leadership and work ethic extends to the customer through the high quality service we provide. It’s that type of leadership and Esprit de Corps that has made us the company we are today.” Personally, Rush and wife, Dyana, have a three-year-old son, Romyn. Kyle Wyckoff1September 2015: Purchasing Agent – Kyle Wyckoff
Purchasing Agent Kyle Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since June 1979. The second youngest son of founder Don Wyckoff, Kyleand his five brothers tookover the business from their father after his retirement. Today, the family tradition continues as Kyle’s son, Daniel, is also employed by the organization. With more than 36 years of experience with the company, Kyle feels honored to work with his peers each and every day. “My favorite – and the most important – aspect of working at Wcykoff is building a bond with those who work by my side day in and day out,” shares Kyle. “It is a privilege to share the work experience with others who value the company and always put the customer first. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Personally, Kyle and his wife, Krysta, have two sons, Daniel and Justin, and one daughter, Elisha. Daniel and his wife, Nicole, have three children, Isabelle, Carsen and Aubrey. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys bible studies, fishing, hunting and hobby farming. Jason Cooper1September 2015: Warehouse Manger – Jason Cooper
Warehouse / Fleet Manager Jason Cooper has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, first as a subcontractor since October 1988, and then as a full-time employee since November 2004. With nearly 27 years of experience with the company, Jason specializes in vehicle maintenance, OSHA record keeping, forklift training and LEAD removal. He is also certified in First Aid and CPR. Cooper’s extensive knowledge of the industry makes him an invaluable member of Wyckoff. He, along with the entire team, greatly values the atmosphere established by his grandfather, Don Wyckoff, and carried out over the past 65 years. “The comradery and family environment at Wyckoff are components unparalleled at other organizations,” says Jason. “Our priority has always been to exceed our staff and customers’ expectations; to establish a positive work environment and help in any way possible. This sets us apart from our competitors and makes Wyckoff an organization I am proud to serve.” Personally, Jason is the third grandson born to founders Don and Mary Wyckoff, a son to eldest daughter Pam Barnett, and brother to current owner Job Cooper. Vern SpotlightJune 2015: Service Manager – Vern Hupp
Service Manager Vern Hupp has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since July 2012. With 36 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Hupp has completed service, installation and metal fabrication work. He triple majored at the American Institute of Business in business administration, sales and marketing, and assistant accounting. Today, his focus expertise is in troubleshooting, customer relations and technician scheduling. Over the past several years, Hupp has become a part of the Wyckoff family, which he acknowledges as his favorite aspect of working for the organization. “The family atmosphere is unparalleled,” said Vern. “It’s not only about the friendships I’ve made, but the way the Wyckoff team treats my daughter and me like family.” That family atmosphere, admits Hupp, extends to Wyckoff’s customer base. “The knowledge each Wyckoff employee has of the industry is impressive,” he adds. “And on top of that, the customer always comes first. We would rather have one customer return 1,000 times than 1,000 customers only utilize us once.” Personally, Vern has a 13 year-old daughter, Geneva. The two have a pet dog and turtle. Brett FlinckMay 2015: Service Team – Brett Flick
A member of the service team, Brett Flick has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since June 2012. During his time with the company, Flick has broadened his areas of expertise to encompass nearly every aspect of heating and cooling. His continued education efforts have also led him to certifications in EPA and gaslight. But Brett’s favorite aspects of working for Wyckoff Heating & Cooling go further than just his knowledge and skillset in HVAC systems. “I enjoy the family atmosphere and values displayed at the family-owned and operated organization,” says Flick. “It allows me and every Wyckoff employee to take pride in our work and extend great customer service and values to the customers we serve each and every day.” Brett has been married for 11 years. Together, he and his wife have two children, Kylie (8) and Lilly (6). In his spare time, Flick enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting and sports, as well as spending time with family and friends. New Construction (Leadman) Karl Berry has served Specializing in system installations, Berry’s certifications support his experience in the HVAC industry. He is SAVE, system adjustment and verified efficiency, certified which ensures Karl has the knowledge and training to properly perform energy efficient Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since January 2012.installations. Berry is also Gastite certified, which allows him to safely and effectively install piping for natural and liquefied propane gas. To top off his list of qualifications, Berry is currently participating in Wyckoff’s apprentice program. Karl enjoys his employment with Wyckoff, highlighting the people and company values as a highlight. “I enjoy what I do on a daily basis and love the people I work with,” shares Berry. “Wyckoff employees and leaders are respectful to one another, and the company upholds strong Christian values. That type of atmosphere sets Wyckoff apart,” he adds. Karl and wife, Robyn, have two daughters, Amanda and Andrea. Their most recent addition to the family is granddaughter Madizyn Janice. Retrofit Installer Dan Williams has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since July 2008. With nearly seven years of experience, Williams specializes in furnace and air conditioning retrofit jobs. Over the years, Dan has developed relationships with his peers and values their friendships. “I most enjoy the comradery that can be found at work daily,” he says. “People who are employed by Wyckoff tend to stick with the company, which means not only do we spend a lot of time together on a weekly basis but also from year to year.” Williams also appreciates the job security he has found at the company. “Wyckoff has been around for 65 years this spring,” Dan adds. “That type of business longevity proves the company is trustworthy and will be around for years to come. Plus, customers will always be in need of a HVAC provider – and that’s a satisfying job.” Personally, Dan and his wife of 16 years have two children, a son and a daughter. Service Technician Darrell Husted has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since May 2010. Husted specializes in fireplace service and customer satisfaction, taking great pleasure in both. “Providing the best possible customer service is essential to the success of the business,” says Husted. “I take pride in doing so daily.” Darrell also values the relationships he has developed with the Wyckoff family and customers over the past 5 years. “The family atmosphere provided by the leadership and entire staff at Wyckoff is a tremendous asset to the company. I have developed lasting relationships with the team at Wyckoff and with our customers,” adds Husted. “Having the opportunity to provide great service and build relationships with our customers is something I genuinely appreciate.” Husted and wife, Jami, have been married for 17 years. The two reside in St. Mary’s, Iowa and have five children: Annah, 23; Savanah, 17; Christian, 14; and twins Kobe and Chloe, 12. The two are also pleased with the addition of their first grandson, Jace Hale, 2. Darrell has continued his education through Vatterott College, earning a spot on the President’s List. He also earned a Bronze Star medal for his veteran service in Desert Shield / Desert Storm. Delivery Supervisor Joel See has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2011. With several years of experience under his belt, See most enjoys Wyckoff’s family atmosphere and helping others. “It’s great to be part of a company who truly cares about its employees,” says Joel. “From the pride and care taken to ensure employees earn a living, to the efforts each one of us go to in order to provide quality service for our customers, Wyckoff is an outstanding company to work for.” In addition to the positive atmosphere, See appreciates the extensive knowledge he has gained through employment with Wyckoff. “Wykoff’s talented, hardworking team members are a company asset that I greatly value,” he adds. “Having the opportunity to learn from and work with the best in the industry is something I appreciate every day.” Personally, Joel enjoys spending time with his significant other, LeeAnn Rowley, and a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, golfing and lawn mower racing. With more than 17 years of experience, Kay is a dedicated member of our team who specializes in organization and customer service. She prides herself on the Wyckoff experience and places customer satisfaction at the top of mind each and every day. “My favorite aspect of working at Wyckoff are the people – from our customers to employees, I love the interaction. Plus, we have a great staff,” says Lucas. “Every employee upholds the family values and services that originated from my father’s vision 60 plus years ago. I am proud to carry on and be a part of the family business.” Kay and husband, Neil, have been married for 38 years. The two have four children and four grandchildren. In her spare time, Lucas enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren, and exploring her musical talents by playing the guitar and singing. Journeyman Installer Brian Berry has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling for almost five years. Specializing in all fields – commercial, residential and retrofit, Berry is a veteran of heating and cooling service, dating back to 1992. Over the years, Brian has acquired numerous certifications and grown his licensures to include: a state license in HVAC; EPA certification; license by the Iowa electrical examining board; SAVE certification; Wardflex, Gastite® and Gastite Flashshield™ certification; and aerial lift certification. Though Berry enjoys expanding his knowledge of the industry, his favorite part of employment with Wyckoff Heating & Cooling are his relationships and the family-owned atmosphere. “I value the friends I’ve made and relationships I have developed with fellow coworkers,” says Berry. “In addition, the integrity of the Wykcoff family and the level of concern they have for my family’s and my well-being is unparalleled. Wyckoff is hands-down the best company I have ever worked for.” Brian and wife, Kim, have been married for over 20 years. The two have three children: Samantha (26), Christopher (20), Jeremy (19), and one grandson: Cooper (2). In his spare time, Berry enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Residential and Light Commercial Estimator / Sales Engineer Michael Veigulis has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2000. With over 14 years of experience, Veigulis specializes in designing and selling HVAC systems. Along with his tenure, comes unparalleled knowledge and numerous certifications including: universal refrigerant technician certification, Iowa LEAD safe renovator certification, Iowa electrical disconnect/reconnect certification, Gastite/Flash Shield installer certification and the Iowa master mechanical HVAC refrigeration license. Veigulis accredits his long-term commitment to Wyckoff Heating & Cooling to the positive company atmosphere. “Wyckoff employees – my coworkers – are some of the hardest working people I know,” says Michael. “Not only do they get the job done on a daily basis, but we have a great time in the process.” In addition to the friendly atmosphere, Veigulis is proud of the products Wyckoff offers. “We provide an essential, quality product to our customers,” he adds. “And that is rewarding in itself.” Personally, Michael is married with five children. Lead Service Tech Phil Costabile has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since September 2001. With over 13 years of experience with the company, Costabile has an array of skills and specializes in geothermal, boiler and infloor projects. His honors and certifications speak to his level of commitment not only to Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, but to the customers he serves. Phil has earned his NATE (North American Technician Excellence) and SAVE (System Adjustment and Verified Efficiency) certifications, achieved his journeyman plumber certification and journeyman mechanical license. Costabile has enjoyed more than a decade with Wyckoff for various reasons, but mostly enjoys the positive atmosphere. “The family-oriented environment makes my job enjoyable day in and day out,” says Phil. “I have a blast working with my bosses and coworkers alike. It’s great to know I work with people who are willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.” In addition to the close-knit working environment, Costabile is proud of the work he and the Wyckoff team complete for customers. “Wyckoff employees take extra care to ensure the job gets done, and done right. Customer satisfaction is number one.” Personally, Phil and his wife have three children and two grandsons, who have been deemed the twin tornadoes. Retro installer Wes Snyder has served Wyckoff Heating and Cooling for a combination of over ten years, first from 2002 to 2004 and then from 2006 to present day. Specializing in remodels, Snyder’s expertise is a true asset to the organization. He is not only an experienced employee, he has also earned his EPA-HVAC license and SAVE certification. Wes’ favorite aspect of working for Wyckoff Heating & Cooling is meeting new people. “Each day has something new in store,” says Snyder. “Whether it’s a new project, meeting a new customer or reuniting with an old friend, I have the opportunity to interact with all kinds of people. It makes my job exciting and rewarding,” he adds. Snyder also values the trust Wyckoff has in each and every employee. “At Wyckoff, management allows us the freedom to get the job done,” he says. “Customer satisfaction is our bottom line, and being able to accommodate our customers in a timely fashion is essential.” Personally, Wes and wife, Jen, have two daughters: Ella (3) and Ava (7 months). In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his favorite sports teams including, the Hawkeyes, Cardinals and Cowboys. Office manager Pam Barnett has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling first as a part-time employee and later as a full-time employee beginning in 1991. With over 22 years of experience, Barnett is no stranger to the company. Her father, Don Wyckoff Senior, founded the company when Pam was only two years old. Over the years, she has remained a loyal employee for two main reasons – the family atmosphere and location “The family atmosphere today is an extension of the founding philosophy my father established over sixty years ago,” shares Barnett. “Whether you are family through blood or family through work, each and every employee is part of the Wyckoff family.” Barnett also enjoys Wyckoff’s location in Carlisle. Located outside of the city, the organization is able to maintain a small-town feel and the customer interaction that goes along with it. In her current capacity, Pam is the oldest Wyckoff family member still employed by the company and has even designated herself company event planner, which she thoroughly enjoys. Barnett is also proud of the fact that her oldest nephew, Andy Wyckoff, and son, Job Cooper, are third generation owners of Wyckoff Heating & Cooling. Commercial Installer Cory Aldrich has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since January 1995. He specializes in large commercial projects. With 20 years of experience with the company, Aldrich has been a loyal supporter of Wyckoff. He attributes this dedication to the work environment and his coworkers. “The family atmosphere at Wyckoff makes them stand a notch above other organizations – they treat you as a member of the family, and that goes a long way,” says Cory. “You just don’t find companies like that.” In addition, Aldrich enjoys being around his peers. “The people I work with make work something I look forward to,” he adds. This camaraderie in combination with Wyckoff’s family ownership and operation has made the company a place Cory, like many, has chosen to represent for most of his career. Personally, Cory has been married to his wife, Amanda, for 15 years. The couple has two sons, Brendan (age 12) and Dylan (age 8). In his spare time, Cory enjoys playing softball and basketball, watching college and professional football, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, and fishing with his family. Residential New Construction Technician Lyndon Stevens has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since February 5, 1990. With over than 24 years of company experience, in Lyndon’s words, he is Wyckoff’s “longest working employee that is not family.” Stevens specializes in air flow troubleshooting and wiring zone systems. He has been recognized over the years for his outstanding service and attention to customer service. Yet, his favorite aspect about employment with Wyckoff’s is the people he works with. Lyndon also enjoys the challenges and diversity that each day brings. “Every day I learn something new – continuing to increase knowledge of my trade and grow my skill set is challenging and rewarding at the same time,” says Stevens. Personally, Lyndon and his wife, Ronell, have two children: a son, Bryce, and daughter, Nikki. Lyndon enjoys hunting and attending sporting events, including NASCAR races and Iowa Cubs games. Lead journeyman for installation Rigoberto Nunez has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2000. Born and raised in Chicago, Nunez moved to Iowa in 2000 to begin employment with Wyckoff. Though a big change, he acknowledges the move was a great decision. “The combination of Christian values and family-oriented employers and employees make Wyckoff Heating & Cooling an employer I greatly value,” says Rigoberto. “Over the years I have gained lasting friendships working for a company of integrity.” Nunez is a true asset to the company having received numerous certifications including, his HVAC license, S.A.V.E. certification, OSHA safety and Rough Ferrian Forklift Safety certification. As an added bonus, Rigoberto utilizes his Hispanic heritage to serve as an interpreter for Wyckoff’s non-English speaking employees. His combination of skills and compassion for others is displayed on a daily basis. Personally, Rigoberto and wife, Karla, have three children: two boys, ages 8 and 12, and one daughter, age 9. He enjoys spending time with his family – going to movies, parks and simply hanging out. Thank you, Rigoberto, for your commitment to Wyckoff Heating & Cooling and our customers. Bryan Lewis March 2014: New Construction Installer – Bryan Lewis
New construction installer Bryan Lewis has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling on more than one occasion. His first stint with the organization ranged an eight year period, from 1998 to 2006. Upon his return in November of 2012, Lewis used his previous knowledge as an asset to the company. Specializing in infloor heating, Bryan enjoys the technical aspect of his job. He also installs heating and cooling, plumbing and hydraulics for Wyckoff. Lewis appreciates his job and looks forward to going to work every day. “The atmosphere at Wyckoff makes my job enjoyable,” he says. “Once you learn your position and earn respect, the company trusts its employees and everyone is there for one another.” Bryan and his wife, Dawn, have a twenty year-old son, Zach. In his spare time, Bryan’s hobbies revolve around tools and remodeling the home he purchased 15 years ago. Service technician Todd Vanderzyl has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since November 14, 2011.Vanderzyl’s zeal for work is apparent as he shares, “Working for Wyckoffs presents a new opportunity to be better at my job every day.” His passion for improvement is evident through the training opportunities Todd has utilized over the past two years of employment. During his time with the organization, Vanderzyl has earned several honors and certifications including: Energy Star 3.0 specialization, the Vatterott Directors List, perfect attendance, PHCC1, SAVE certification, temp licensure and EPA certification. His favorite aspect of working for Wyckoffs is the family atmosphere. Personally, Todd has one son, Kyle (20).  He enjoys working on his son’s 1985 GT Mustang which the father-son duo drag races, riding his 2004 Harley Deuce, attending Knoxville sprint car and NASCAR racing events and helping others. Director of Field Operations Blake Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling first as a part-time employee in 1996 and later as a full-time employee beginning in 1999. With nearly 15 years of company experience, Wyckoff specializes in geothermal installations and design, as well as snowmelt and infloor installation and design. A well-qualified employee, Blake has earned his master mechanical license, SAVE certification and numerous product-specific certifications. He most enjoys working for Wyckoff Heating & Cooling because he gets to help people on a daily basis. “Whether it be designing a new system that best suits a customer or troubleshooting an issue with an existing system, I enjoy finding solutions for our customers,” says Wyckoff. “Working to provide top level comfort and peace of mind makes my job enjoyable.” Personally, Blake and wife, Sarah, have two children: daughter, Alexis (14), and son, Adyn (7). Alexis is actively involved in basketball, volleyball, softball and track, while Adyn enjoys wrestling, basketball, football and hip-hop dance. In his spare time, Blake spends time outdoors fishing, hunting, golfing and exercising. He is an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoys spending time with his family. Tin shop foreman TJ Hiracheta has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 2009. Hiracheta specializes in custom fabrication. He appreciates the company values and family atmosphere established at Wyckoff. “Working for Wyckoff is like being part of one big family,” says Hiracheta. “They take care of their employees and customers alike.” Hiracheta also takes great pride in working for an organization with outstanding values. “I enjoy working for such an honest, reputable company. It makes my job enjoyable and builds trust with our customer base,” he concludes. In his spare time, the soon to be father enjoys hunting, fishing and trapping. Shon Wyckoff, ServiceDepartment for Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, has served the company since 1992. With over 21 years of experience, Shon specializes in troubleshooting and scheduling customers. And what better way to continue the family tradition than serving Wyckoff customers? “Carrying on the service and integrity my grandparents started in 1950 is something that motivates me every day,” admits Shon. “We’re a family! We have a great workplace environment and that extends into the service we provide our customers.” Personally, Shon has two children: son Tegan, 12, and daughter Reese, 8. His children are very active in sports, and Shon dedicates much of his spare time to supporting them. Tegan plays baseball, football and basketball, and Reese is an avid softball player and dancer. Shon and his family also enjoy the outdoors – hunting and fishing whenever possible – and supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Sales Manager Jerry Johnson has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 1996. With over 17 years of company experience, Johnson specializes in commercial and contractor sales and geothermal work. His training and expertise is extensive spanning Lennox retail sales and sales management training, Carrier commercial replacement sales training, SAVE training and certification and CAPTIVE – AIRE ventilation training. And, Johnson is appreciative for the knowledge and skills he has gained working for the organization. “Wyckoff Heating & Cooling has always ensured its employees have the knowledge and resources to perform our jobs well,” shares Johnson. “Paired with a team atmosphere and camaraderie at work and beyond, I am proud to serve Wyckoff.” Personally, Jerry and his wife, Shirley, have two children: a son, Chris who resides in Oklahoma City with the couple’s only grandson, Cameron; and daughter Sara, who was married in August and currently lives in Marshalltown. Jerry enjoys spending time with family, motorcycling, fishing, hunting, staying up-to-date on classic cars and trucks and watching sports, specifically college football.

Specializing in service work, Lindsey has thoroughly enjoyed serving Wyckoffs since July 1990 – more than 23 years. He most respects the organization for their teamwork and positive business atmosphere. “Wyckoffs is truly a unique company – employees get along and enjoy working together every day,” says Lindsey. “And, our atmosphere is a reflection of the work ethic and dedication exhibited from the Wyckoff family.” Lindsey also enjoys serving the organization’s customer base. “There is nothing better than leaving a customer knowing you played a part in making their life more comfortable,” he shares. “Providing piece of mind during extreme Midwest temperatures means a lot to those we serve.” Personally, Lindsey enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing and fishing.

August 2013: New Construction Installer – Jessie Parker
Specializing in custom homes, Parker has earned his master’s HVAC license, S.A.V.E. certification and is also an A.B.C. school graduate. Jessie has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since 1995. Wyckoff’s fun, friendly environment is Parker’s favorite aspect of the organization. “Wyckoff employees’ teamwork and positive attitudes contribute to a great atmosphere I look forward to experiencing daily,” says Jessie. Parker also prides himself on providing a quality product for customers and builders alike. “Each job presents a new challenge, which I enjoy,” he states. “Making sure our customers are fully satisfied with my work is extremely important to me and to the success of the organization.” Personally, Jessie and wife Julie have two children: Jase, a third grader, and Jayla, who is starting kindergarten. Jessie is thankful that Julie, the family’s events coordinator, “keeps everyone on schedule and the family operating smoothly.” In his spare time, Jessie enjoys spending time with family, camping, woodworking and watching UFC.

Currently serving Wyckoff Heating & Cooling in the sales arena, Aaron Jones has been with the organization since September 1, 2003. Aaron specializes in commercial sales and has earned his HVAC license. His favorite aspect of Wyckoff Heating & Cooling is the company’s commitment to family. “Working for a family-owned business is an invaluable aspect of employment with Wyckoff. The family is 100 percent invested in the success of the company, as well as customer and employee satisfaction,” says Jones. “The Wyckoff team values family, and we have become a family of our own,” he concludes. Personally, Aaron enjoys spending time outdoors on the golf course. And although a humble golfer, he keeps himself entertained on the links.

Service Technician Kenny Webb has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since October 1994. Webb’s favorite aspect of employment with Wyckoff’s is the family atmosphere. And with over nineteen years with the company, the commitment employees, such as Kenny, display to the organization is true reflection of that atmosphere. Specializing in in-floor geothermal, Webb enjoys the fact that Wyckoff Heating & Cooling puts customers first. “Being able to fix a customer’s furnace or air conditioning unit at a fair price is very rewarding,” says Webb. “The quality Wyckoff’s provides without over selling is a testament to the organization and shows that we value our customers.” Personally, Webb has three children. In addition, between he and his girlfriend, the two share twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In his spare time, Kenny enjoys boating and golf.

HVAC Foreman Daniel Wyckoff has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling – his family’s business – since 1998. Daniel specializes in gas tile and safe testing. He also earned his master HVAC license. His favorite aspect of Wyckoff Heating & Cooling is the company’s tradition and dedication to employees. “Keeping the family name going is important to the future success of the company,” says Daniel. “I am proud to represent an organization that my family has worked so hard to build and sustain. And, I hope that one day my children will follow in my footsteps.” Wyckoff also enjoys the diversity that each day brings. “I enjoy meeting new people on a daily basis,” he shares. Personally, Daniel and his wife, Nicki, have three children: two daughters, Isabelle and Aubrey, and one son, Carsen. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, playing ball and “anything outdoors!”

Diane Halbur, accounts payable for Wyckoff Heating & Cooling, as served the organization since 1991. Before that, Halbur was an employee with Clark-Peterson from 1986-1991 until the company was purchased by Wyckoff. She was re-hired and has been with the Wyckoff family ever since. Wyckoff’s friendly atmosphere, compassion for all employees and the benefits of being family-owned are Halbur’s favorite aspects of the organization. “Not only do I enjoy my job and working in the accounting field,” says Halbur, “I feel like I am part of the Wyckoff family.” Personally, Diane has been married to her husband, Don, for 38 years. Don is employed by John Deere. A native of Carroll, Iowa, Diane and her husband currently reside in Ankeny. Her mother and two brothers still reside in Carroll, and her sister lives in Indianola. Diane’s hobbies include gardening, specializing in flowers, and traveling. She hopes to one day travel to Alaska.

Lead installer Donny Rodriguez has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since July 1997. Rodriguez specializes in geothermal work, in-floor installs and custom homes. His favorite aspect of Wyckoff Heating & Cooling is the people he works with. “Every day, I learn something new,” shares Rodriguez. “No two days are alike, and I enjoy the challenge that comes with that.” At Wyckoff, family comes first – and that is greatly appreciated by employees, including Rodriguez. But when help is needed, Rodriguez says the Wyckoff “family” of employees comes together to get the job done. Personally, Donny has been married to his wife for three years and he has an eight year-old daughter. His hobbies include boating, camping, fishing, riding his four wheeler and spending time with family and friends.

Tonya has served Wyckoff Heating & Cooling since February 2006. A graduate of AIB College of Business, May was recognized as a Dean’s List recipient in 2010-2012. She appreciates Wyckoff’s family-based and Christian atmosphere. Personally, May has been married for twenty-five years. She has three children of her own and one step child. May is an animal lover – she has four dogs, a cat and a bird. In her spare time, she enjoys remodeling her home and spending time with grandchildren.
