Purification and Filtration Systems

Pollutants such as dust, pollen, bacteria and viruses find their way into your home every day. Keep your home free of potentially harmful contaminants with one of our Lennox air purification systems or chose from our variety of whole-home air filtration options from Honeywell and Lennox.

Filtration – Using the same filtration technology found in hospital operating rooms and science labs, these units remove nearly all allergy-inducing contaminants, including even the smallest particles and bacteria like dust mites and pet dander. All work silently while your system runs to improve your home’s IAQ and give you peace of mind. air_filtration2_1Purification – Indoor air purification systems control everything from microscopic dust mites and mold spores to infectious bacteria and viruses. They also safely remove and destroy odors and chemical vapors. When you put the power of an air purification system to work in your home, you’ll not only breathe cleaner air – you’ll also breathe a sigh of relief.

Humidifiers and Dehumidifiers

When your home is too damp or too dry, you notice. Not only does it impact the way you feel, it can also take a toll on your family and your home. Cold, dry air soaks up moisture from woodwork and furnishings, leaving them cracked and dried out. Warm, damp air creates a perfect environment for allergens and mold to develop. With Iowa’s extreme changes in temperature, humidifiers and dehumidifiers can help balance you find balance all year long.

Humidifiers – Wyckoff has several whole-house humidifiers to help you replenish the moisture in your home’s air. We offer a range of humidifier models from Honeywell and Lennox to meet your home’s particular needs. Easy to maintain, the only update your humidifier will require is an annual replacement pad.

Dehumidifiers – Control the moisture in your living area and prevent the growth of allergy-causing molds with one of Wyckoff’s Honeywell or Lennox whole-home dehumidifiers. Iowa summers can be hot, muggy and extremely humid. The best way to combat the moisture is by investing in a system that can regulate your indoor air quality – working hard for your family while you take care of business.

Replace stale, contaminated indoor air with fresh outdoor air using a ventilator from Honeywell or Lennox and available at Wyckoff. A heat-or energy-recovery ventilator uses just the right amount of air – 0.35 air changes per hour (ACH) – from outside to maintain consistent comfort and air quality inside your home.

Many newer, high-efficiency homes have an ACH rating as low as 0.05, which can lead to an unhealthy build-up of moisture and pollutants. Ventilators provide you with a simple and economical solution to ensure the right amount of outdoor air is allowed in your home.

Duct Cleaning

In today’s airtight homes, indoor air quality is a growing concern. Most household dust contains dust mites, mold, mildew, pollen and animal dander – and many of these contaminants are circulated through the central air system aggravating asthma and allergies.

How can these contaminants be removed from your air duct system? Wyckoff’s certified air quality professionals are proud to offer the video-assisted Rotobrush® air duct cleaning system. This advanced cleaning method is the only one available that brushes and vacuums at the point of contact, eliminating the use of harsh chemicals such as sealers. You are left with the assurance of fresh, clean and virtually contaminant-free air in your home or office.

Ultraviolet Air Treatment Systems

Reduce mold, bacteria and viruses that grow all around your home with the ultraviolet (UV) air treatment systems available from Honeywell and Lennox. Eliminate airborne germs before they recirculate with the latest, cutting edge technology. The UV systems are widely used in hospitals, pharmacies and kitchens to kill airborne pollutants and surface microorganisms like mold and bacteria.

How it works: The UV unit is mounted in your HVAC system. The technology continuously emits UV energy that eliminates a high percentage of bacteria as it passes through the UV light. As an added bonus, UV systems also prevent mold spores from growing on your system’s cooling coils.
